Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Malaysia Airports Data Centers.
• This role involves monitoring critical infrastructure, assisting with equipment installations, and ensuring a secure and efficient data center environment.
• The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn about data center operations and facilities management.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Facility Monitoring: Responsible in monitoring and reporting on data center infrastructure, including power systems, HVAC, and environmental conditions, using data center management software and tools.
• Equipment Support: Responsible with the installation, cabling, and decommissioning activities of data center equipment such as servers, storage devices, and network hardware.
• Preventive Maintenance: Support routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities for power and cooling systems under the supervision of senior technicians or the facility manager.
• Incident Response: Respond to facility alarms and alerts, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate issues to senior team members or vendors as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, maintenance activities, and incident reports. Update inventory and asset management systems as required.
• Security & Access Control: Follow data center access protocols, monitor physical security, and ensure that only authorized personnel are allowed in the facility.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety and security standards and participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices and emergency procedures.
• Projects and Enhancement: Involve and support senior executive and manager in various projects related to facility upgrades, expansions, and efficiency improvements.

• Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic and applying clear critical thinking in complex and high-pressure environment.
• Explore green initiatives, evaluate new technologies and adopts appropriate technologies, procedure and techniques into new systems that will benefit Malaysia Airports operations.
• Ensure the infrastructure services are serviceable as expected by the users.
• Ensure all incident reported must be resolved according to SLO and operating at the optimum level to achieve the company SLA.

• Knowledgeable in ITIL processes.

Relevant Industries

EXTERNAL

• Degree holder with minimum CGPA of 3.00 in Computer Engineering / Information Technology or equivalent;
• Recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.

Education

External

• Degree holder in Computer Engineering / Information Technology or equivalent.
  (Master Degree would be an added advantage)"
