Position General Summary

To lead and coordinate the shift maintenance team in ensuring the reliability, availability, and safe operation of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) and associated equipment. The role is responsible for supervising maintenance activities, responding to operational incidents, coordinating system recovery efforts, and ensuring maintenance works are carried out in accordance with established engineering standards and operational requirements.
The position serves as the shift technical leader and primary engineering focal point for the BHS Operations Control Centre (CCR), ensuring timely fault rectification and uninterrupted baggage handling operations.

Essential Position Functions

1. Shift Leadership & Maintenance Coordination

Lead and supervise the BHS Maintenance shift team to ensure effective execution of preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
Allocate manpower, assign work priorities, and monitor maintenance activities during the shift.
Ensure adequate shift coverage and operational readiness of maintenance personnel.
Act as the Duty Engineer for all BHS-related maintenance matters during assigned shifts.

2. System Reliability & Maintenance Execution

Coordinate and perform maintenance activities for conveyors, sortation systems, baggage screening interfaces, PLC systems, SCADA systems, early bagbing and rectification of equipment faults to minimise operational disruption.
Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring faults requiring long-term corrective action.
Verify quality and completeness of maintenance works performed by technicians and contractors.

3. Operational Support & CCR Coordination

Serve as the primary engineering liaison with the BHS Operations Control Centre (CCR) during assigned shifts
Coordinate maintenance response to system alarms, equipment failures, and operational disruptions.
Provide technical advice and recommendations to support operational decision-making.
Ensure timely communication and escalation of critical system issues to management and relevant stakeholders.
Support operational recovery activities and implementation of contingency plans during system disruptions.

4. Incident Management & System Recovery

Lead fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and system recovery activities during equipment breakdowns.
Coordinate immediate response actions to restore system functionality and minimise baggage processing delays.
Escalate major failures to management, OEMs, vendors, and specialist contractors when necessary.
Conduct preliminary investigations into equipment failures and operational incidents.

5. Maintenance Planning & Continuous Improvement

Support the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
Review maintenance records and identify opportunities to improve asset reliability and maintenance effectiveness.
Recommend engineering improvements, equipment upgrades, and process enhancements.
Participate in testing, commissioning, and operational readiness activities for new systems and projects.

● Strong technical knowledge of baggage handling systems and automation equipment.

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Land Planning & Business Development is a dual-track leadership role responsible for safeguarding and optimizing Malaysia Airports’ extensive land bank. You will lead the strategic masterplanning and land administration efforts while driving business development initiatives to unlock real estate value, particularly in large-scale mixed-use and industrial developments (e.g., KLIA Aeropolis).

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTION

Strategic Land Planning & Masterplanning

Oversee the conceptualization and implementation of urban design guidelines, land use plans, infrastructure plans and masterplans for mid-to-large scale real estate projects.
Lead development feasibility assessments.
Ensure all development plans align with aviation requirements and long-term commercial goals, with a focus on integrated industrial and mixed-use components.
Manage zoning, density, and land-use conversions to maximize the development potential of airport lands.
Promote and implement best practices and technology in pre-development planning.

Land Administration & Regulatory Compliance

Serve as the subject matter expert on the National Land Code (NLC) and other relevant state/federal land enactments.
Lead on land related initiatives such as land titles registration, renewals, subdivisions, and amalgamation processes.
Ensure projects comply with town planning regulations and environmental guidelines

Strategic Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary liaison with high-level government and regulatory bodies, including:
- Federal Lands Commissioner (PTP)
- State Land Offices (PTG/PDT) and Local Councils (PBT)
- Relevant Ministries (MOT, KPKT) and specialized agencies (PLANMalaysia).
Negotiate and secure approvals for land related matters, development orders, and gazettement processes.

Business Development

Identify and evaluate market opportunities for real estate growth within the airport ecosystem.
Develop business cases and feasibility studies for industrial parks and commercial hubs.
Collaborate with joint venture partners and third-party developers to execute land-lease or sublease agreements and joint venture agreements.
