POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• Shall be responsible for all activities at the Stolport by direct all administrative; operational and also maintenance functions; in order to ensure a safe and efficient airport operation.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Responsible in implementing and maintaining aerodrome compliance and Safety Management System (SMS), as well as Safety Assurance and improvements of aerodrome.
• Implement policy and procedural directives received from the management of Malaysia Airports.
• To ensure continuous; uninterrupted; safe; efficient and legal operation for aircraft; passenger; and cargo movement 
• Interprets and enforces laws; rules and regulations governing airport operations.
• Manages the overall human performance of the airport employees.
• Prepare; plan; control and monitor operational budget of the airport
• Develops and implements public relations policies to promote the interests of the government; airport and general public.
• Ensures all equipment; buildings and facilities are well maintained and functional   at all times.
• Prepares and submits periodic reports as required.
• Serve as airport interface with government; civil and business departments/agencies organizations.
• Coordinates and ensure services provided by 3rd parties meet the standards set
• Monitoring and coordinate commercial and financial activities
• Carry out instruction and task given by direct superior.

Key Challenges

• To ensure highest standards of operational requirement is achieved according to the standard set by the management (daily inspection of all areas is required)
• To handle and resolve all customers complaint
• To coordinate with other units as to ensure all facilities provided are in good working condition

Skills

• Knowledge in maintenance and operation of airports facilities
• Possess updated knowledge in the latest technology in airport facilities, world class maintenance management and project management
• Knowledgeable of contract management i.e. Construction, legal and value engineering
• Knowledgeable in local and international airside regulations and requirements

Relevant Industries

Diploma with a minimum of 2 years relevant working experience

Education

Diploma in any discipline preferably in Engineering/ Management/ Transportation/ Airport Management
