POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• Evaluate and review designs, manage approvals and provide key technical inputs of the large-scale environments, advise on best design solutions, providing fresh perspectives to improve operations, business requirements and targets whilst adhering to authority's requirements locally and globally.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Provide key review to assist the Senior Manager in the tender evaluation including analysis and recommendation to the Project Director based on the submission by the tenderers, design review and approval, and technical inputs of the large scale environment

• Assess, review, recommend, control and advise the best BHS-Inline Hold Baggage System (ILHBS) design solution inclusive of departure, arrival, and transfer within certain parameters as per technical specification and provide an objective and fresh viewpoint to improve operation, business requirement and aspirations while adhering to authority’s requirement locally and internationally to ensure the system is efficient, reliable, provide redundancy and workable.

• Prepare a clear and objective Technical Evaluation Criteria and Marking Scheme to be used for the tender evaluation.

• Coordinate with the Project Management & ORAT Team to achieve the desired throughput, and operation concept mechanism as per stipulated in the specification.

• Review, evaluate and advise on BHS-Inline Hold Baggage System (ILHBS) design based on BHS-Inline Hold Baggage System (ILHBS) process, document, and relevant drawings and the phasing plan and advise Project Management & ORAT Team for construction phasing work timeline, implementation plan, functional testing, and operational readiness by utilizing the Building Information Modelling (BIM) & Project Information Modelling (PIM).

• Manage the system simulation to ensure the technical solution fulfils the customer requirements, and that the system is sufficiently robust, functional, and for expected uncertain operational situations.

• Monitor and check the phasing work to minimize the impact on the current BHS-Inline Hold Baggage System (ILHBS) operation. Perform site inspection when required.

• Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the management.

Relevant Industries

Degree with minimum 5 years relevant experience.

Education

Recognized Engineering Degree level (Mechanical/Electrical) qualified from an established university in Malaysia/ UK/ US/ Canada/ Australia/ Singapore accredited by Boards of Engineer Malaysia

• Unique Requirement

More than 5 years' end-to-end experience in mechanical, electrical and Screening System for large environment airport (>25mppa).
