Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• Performs technical assessments, data tracking, and governance enforcement to assist the Senior Engineer in internalizing quality, carbon, and environmental management systems while aligning airport utility operations with industry best practices and regulatory acts.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Assist Senior Engineer such as explore and implement new strategy in utility design for better improvement and  cost optimization focusing on Energy Efficient(EE), Renewable Energy(RE) and Utilities Carbon Management.
• Improve implementation / strategy for Renewable Energy Modelling at airports as a part of green energy solution. (i.e. Solar Photovoltaic)
• To provide data for  establishment airports performance indicator and supervise the aiports energy performance with recommendation of Energy Efficiency measures (i.e. Chiller re-schedulling, de-lamping and etc).
• To analyse Energy Efficiency measures to optimize the energy consumption and improve equipment efficiency at the airports.
• Provide full information and study recommendation on Engineering / Technical benchmarks for industry best practices for its implementations.
• Enforces full compliances with the relevant internal and local laws, regulations, legislations and acts.
• Enforces internalization of quality system,  Carbon & environment management.
• Provides assistance in energy management project technicals / assesment / projects from time to time as and when required. 

Key Challenges

• Cutting costs safely: Finding ways to change equipment schedules or reduce lighting to save power without slowing down airport operations.

• Handling the data: Gathering and analyzing a large amount of technical information to set up clear and accurate energy targets.

• Enforcing the rules: Making sure both internal teams and outside contractors strictly follow new carbon laws and environmental standards.

• Managing sudden tasks: Balancing your regular duties with unexpected project requests and technical assessments from the Senior Engineer.

Skills

• Sound knowledge of Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics  System
• Experience in any engineering fields
• Good working knowledge of new technology of energy management

Education

• Degree in preferably with Engineering (Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Energy) or equivalent 

Relevant Industries

• Degree holder with minimum CGPA 3.0 and minimum 1 year relevant experience.

Unique Requirements

• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia 
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Registered Electrical Energy Manager (REEM) is an added advantage
