POSITION GENERAL FUNCTIONS

• Conducting aerodrome inspection &  enforcement activities within the airside boundary in ensuring the compliance to the local and international standards and recommended practices.       

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• To coordinate and facilitate activities related to operations and enforcement. 
• Responsible to lead the shift in the absence of the Duty Executive upon instructed by the Duty Executive.
• To ensure all facilities are in good serviceable condition and the aircraft maneuvering areas are safe for flight operations.
• To handle on site communication and coordination with other operations unit, particularly the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC), Engineering Division, and Flight Operations Management (FOM).
• To handle daily on site communication and coordination with relevant parties for smooth airside operations
• To prepare NOTAM for scheduled maintenance work which involves closures of certain areas of the aerodrome operations.
• Monitor and ensure that the apron is clean from FODs and close the area if hazards exist.
• To prepare preliminary investigation report during an accident/incident that is non-related to aircraft and ensuring that safety officers collect relevant data.
• To report any facility defects and filling fault dockets as well as ensuring that the faults are rectified for operational use.
• To ensure that operational equipments (vehicles, Trunk Radio, Very High Frequency radio) are in good condition and sufficient according to the equipment inventory list.
• To ensure the checklist and other record have been filled and keep in the designated storage/filing system.
• To prepare monthly duty roster for shift operations 
• To manage collections of Temporary Airside Vehicle Permit and Follow Me escort services.
• To report any hazard and non compliances in Airside area.
• To check & ensure all Airside drivers has a valid Airside Driving Permit (ADP)
• To check & ensure all vehicles has a valid Airside Vehicles Permits (AVP)
• To check the validity of vehicles with temporary permits and to ensure offloading of goods are at the correct loading bays.
• To ensure that the Airside drivers operating the right category of vehicle/equipment.
• To ensure that Airside users comply to SOP when operating their vehicles/equipment.
• To check on the roadworthiness of all vehicles and equipment in Airside
• To assist in the management of FODs, orderly parking of airside vehicles & equipment
• To assist in the enforcement of the rules and regulations to maintenance and project contractors during work in progress, as to ensure compliance to local and international standards.
• To manage willdife presence as per outline in the SOP and guidelines.

Skills

• Able to work in minimum supervision
• Fast learner.
• Good in writing & communication ( English & Malay)
• Possess driving licence (D) and able to handle manual transmission vehicle.
• Strong Leadership and communication Skill
• Proficiency  in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Computer Literate
• Required skills: Radiotelephony Communication Skill, Supervisory Skill, airside operations knowledge & able to operate manual transmission vehicle.
• Energetic & Self Motivated. 
• Willingness to perform a variety of jobs as requested.
• Good Proofreading skills.
• Takes initiative and can start/complete tasks with basic direction.
• Ability to learn & follow instructions.    

Relevant Industries

• Diploma in any discipline, preferably Aviation Management/Airport Management, Transport/ Operations, Zoology (Entomology/ Ornithology), Safety and Health Management, Environmental Management, Landscaping Management, Contract Management or equivalent.      

Unique Requirement

• Strong Leadership and communication Skill        
• Possess driving licence (D) and able to handle manual transmission vehicle.
• Must not have any eyesight issues, including color blindness or similar conditions.

Education

• Diploma in any discipline, preferably Aviation Management/Airport Management, Transport/ Operations, Zoology (Entomology/ Ornithology), Safety and Health Management, Environmental Management, Landscaping Management, Contract Management or equivalent.
