Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

The scope of the Commercial’s Credit Management Officer encompasses the effective execution of credit management processes and cash management services. This involves taking proactive actions to collect bad debt and prepare necessary reports for the management’s evaluation. 

 

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • To proactively take preliminary action to minimize the Commercial tenant’s outstanding amount at MA (Sepang) and MASB airports. 
  • To assist in the preparation of status update or reporting for management’s review as and when required.
  • To assist in the establishment of credit rating for all Commercial tenants and continuously update to facilitate the credit management and tender evaluation purpose.
  • To assist in delivering efficient communication with other units within Commercial in order to resolve any arising issues with regards to debt collection. 
  • To monitor the timely issuance of reminder letter and forfeiture of Security Deposit (Cash/Bank Guarantee) upon deadline as stated in the reminder letter.
  • To maintain close liaison with Finance Division on debt collection and other credit management processes especially on the monthly reporting.
  • To maintain close liaison with Administration and Legal Division on all issues of the statutory and legal requirements.
  • To assist in timely and accurate dissemination of all decisions related to credit policy to all Commercial tenants.
  • To assist in the enforcement of company’s credit policies and procedures at airport level.
  • To ensure the banking of daily cash sales collection into the MASB Airport’s Bank account on a daily basis.
  • To ensure that the bank deposit slip and other relevant documents are submitted daily for sales reconciliation process.
  • To ensure that all data from the net cash sales collection are compiled and accounted for promptly and accurately for reporting purpose.

Key Challenges

 

  • To ensure payment by Commercial tenant is being made on a timely manner.
  • To ensure cash sales collection is being performed in accordance to the standard policies and procedures.

To liaise with respective tenants and follow up to resolve issues related to credit control management.

Skills

 

  • Good Communication skills.
  • Knowledge in retail trends.
  • Understanding of airport and retail operation.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge in land, contractual and legal matters
  • Working experience in managing multiple tenants and project management would be add advatages

Relevant Industries

 

  • Diploma holder with minimum CGPA 2.8.
  • Knowledge and experience in Credit Management is an added advantage.
  • Well versed in SAP system especially Flexi RE Module.

Education

 

  • Diploma preferably with specialization in Business Administration Or Management
