Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of airport runways, taxiways, and aprons by maintaining debris-free surfaces and adhering to strict operational protocols.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• All vehicles under the control of operations to be checked daily. All FOD have to be disposed from vehicle.
• Inspections of all airside vehicles entail the following
  • Visual inspection for any damage
  • Cleanliness, exterior and interior
  • Radiator water level
  • Lubricating oil/Engine oil
  • Battery water level
  • Hydraulic oil level
  • Wiper fluid
  • Others as laid down in the instruction manual / checklist.
• Any irregularities must be log and reported to the officer in charge immediately for further action.
• It is responsibility of the driver to ensure that the vehicles under operations are sent in for servicing in accordance to the service manual.
• Drivers shall keep an accurate log on :-
  • Vehicle mileage
  • Fuel dispense
  • Lubricating oil
  • Others
• All faults must be docketed in duplicates, one for workshop, the other kept in charge for further action.
• Any outstanding faults for more than 7 days, the driver must notify the officer in charge for further action.
• All 8 sweepers engine must be activated daily.
• Apron, taxiways and aircraft maneuvering area must be swept daily. (Refer to airfield sweeping program)
• The debris inside the sweeper must be disposed every day and washed.
• Any sweeping of newly paved area which contains bitumen and tar must be disposed of immediately after sweeping to prevent the hardening of debris

Skills

• Good interpersonal and coordination skills

Relevant Industries

• Possess a valid driving license: Class D, E, and PSV.

Education

• Minimum SPM qualification with a pass in Bahasa Malaysia and History.
