Job Description

Position Summary

The Executive – Group Finance (Group Reporting) supports the preparation of the Group's consolidated financial reporting, management reporting, and statutory reporting requirements. The role assists in ensuring timely and accurate financial information is prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and Group reporting policies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual Group financial reports, including reports for Management, Board of Directors, and statutory financial statements.
  • Support the consolidation process by coordinating financial reporting submissions from finance business partners and business units and ensuring compliance with Group reporting requirements, accounting standards, and reporting timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial analysis and management reporting by reviewing financial performance, identifying trends, and highlighting key movements and variances.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly financial reporting, annual reports, and other external reporting requirements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
  • Assist in coordinating with external auditors for the statutory audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documents, and follow-up on audit requirements to facilitate timely completion.
  • Perform analysis and reporting on key financial information, including revenue, cost, receivables, payables, provisions, and related party transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, audit requirements, and reporting submissions for dormant entities.

Skills

  • Good understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience in group consolidation, listed company reporting or Big Four accounting firms will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and subsidiaries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) or progress towards qualification will be an added advantage.

  • Professional Qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

 

External

  • Degree holder with minimum CGPA 3.0 and minimum 1 year relevant experience.
