Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Lead, manage and control the overall function of Engineering Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) and facilities are at the highest level of public safety, service excellence, and system availability and reliability in a cost-effective manner. 

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Plan, implement, manage and oversee the functions and activities of Engineering PBB in-line with the approved strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Lead and manage the Quality Management System for the engineering division and ensure certifications by relevant governing bodies are sustained.  
• Plan, manage and coordinate the Engineering PBB and facilities are reliable and safe to be used at all times.
• Manage and coordinate with other engineering units on operation and maintenance, procurement, and contract matters
• Ensure compliance to Company’s policies, procedures, guidelines, local/international regulations and legislation, and any other certifications. 
• Plan, manage and control yearly budget (OPEX and CAPEX). 
• Plan, organize, review and evaluate staff competency and skill for providing effective and efficient support and service.
• Manage and participate in the development and standardization of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the engineering division.
• Conduct a variety of divisional studies against industry best practices and recommend improvement to programs and procedures as appropriate.    
• Manage effectively and timely during any system crisis and emergency situation

Key Challenges

• Standardization of maintenance procedures and processes that suit various engineering systems and facilities and implemented via SAP Plant Maintenance.
• Maximize utilization of IT enabler ie. SAP system 
• Keeping up with fast-changing technology in terms of manpower readiness and financial implication.
• Relationship management with external stakeholders.
• Balance up between cost and high service level through negotiation of maintenance contracts.

• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English

Education

External

• Bachelor Degree Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering with CGPA min above 3.0

Relevant Industries

External

• A minimum of 5 years working experience in engineering Senior Executive role of operation and maintenance of airport  systems and facilities

Unique Requirement

• Registered with Board of Engineers of Malaysia
• Preferably a Member of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia
