Job Description

Position General Summary

  • Lead the development and manage centralized safety data, performance dashboards, and coordinate mid-level regulatory and administrative compliance across the Group to support the Governance & Assurance pillar.

Essential Position Functions

1. Occupational Health & Hygiene Management

  • Develop and implement the Group Occupational Health & Hygiene programme across MAHB and its subsidiaries.
  • Conduct health risk assessments to identify and control biological, chemical, physical and ergonomic hazards.
  • Monitor workplace health programmes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

2. Exposure Control & Workplace Health

  • Develop and implement controls to reduce employee exposure to workplace hazards such as noise, dust, chemicals, vibration and heat stress.
  • Review new projects, equipment and workplace changes to ensure health risks are considered during planning and implementation.
  • Recommend practical solutions to improve workplace health and hygiene.

3. Employee Wellbeing & Fitness for Duty

  • Manage the Fitness for Duty programme to ensure employees are physically and mentally fit to perform their work safely.
  • Oversee medical surveillance, CHRA requirements and other occupational health programmes.
  • Support initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, mental health and psychological safety.

4. Emergency Health Response & Compliance

  • Coordinate occupational health support during workplace incidents and medical emergencies.
  • Work closely with relevant departments, healthcare providers and regulatory authorities on occupational health matters.
  • Monitor compliance with occupational health legislation and recommend improvements where necessary.

Key Challenges

Skills

  • Good knowledge of Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA), medical surveillance and occupational health programmes.
  • Familiar with DOSH regulations and occupational health requirements.
  • Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
    Registration as a Hygiene Technician or DOSH Competent Person is an added advantage.

Relevant Industries

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health, industrial hygiene, exposure control or workplace health management.
  • Experience in aviation, construction or other high-risk industries is preferred.
