Job Description


Responsible in ensuring Data Center at all sites (DC, DRC, DSC) is operating at optimum level at 24 x 7 availability and architected on a stable, secure, Resilient and Scalable Infrastructure.



  • Responsible for overall operations of the facilities (server and storage) classified under System Infrastructure Unit; ensuring availability and performance of servers, storage and related peripherals as required
  • Responsible for overall operations of the facilities (server and storage) clarified under Disaster Recovery Center; ensuring the availability of servers and storage as required during Emergency situation.
  • Responsible for the overall Backup/Recovery of MAHB systems under System Infrastructure Unit.
  • Responsible for System Infrastructure Unit Operations & Maintenance.
  • Ensure capacity and availability planning for System Infra Server Room facilities.
  • Ensure troubleshooting and diagnose on causes of server and storage failure under System Infrastructure Unit responsibility are done effectively.
  • Identify areas where Data Center can be improved or upgrade.
  • Plan and develop implementation strategies that preserve the availability, performance, integrity, stability, and scalability of systems, consistent with cost constraints
  • Responsible to ensure continuous refine, implement and manage the standardized policies and procedures for server, storage configuration, endpoint management and protection.
  • Involve in implementation of new system and other related issues.
  • Perform be a single point of contact for System Infrastructure Unit technical support.
  • Prepare, propose and manage operational and capital budget.
  • Manage and monitor overall responsiblity on human resource matters.
  • Create and encourage a positive team environment and coordinate work efforts of each team members.

  • To justify to the management, the investment in maintaining Data Center should be seen as company asset rather than being considered as a cost center or liability.
  • To evaluate new technologies and adopts appropriate technologies, procedure and techniques into new systems that will benefit airport operations.
  • To ensure the System Infrastructure unit as a whole is operating at the optimum level to achieve the company SLA and SLO between ITD and its customers.
  • To ensure the growth in technical and non-technical skills for subordinates.
  • To provide a work environment that is appropriate for the work and conducive to employee well-being; that can encourage employee’s productivity.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement in operational areas, working environment and staff motivation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to collaborate across teams and  divisions.

Relevant Industries


  • IT Operation and Maintenance experience.
  • Extensive application support experience with MS Office, O365, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Experienced with managing MacOS, Windows and MDM



  • Degree holder with minimum 3.0 CGPA with minimum 5 years relevant experience in Senior Executive and/or Supervisory role; preferably in airport services industry.
  • Master Degree is an added advantage
  • Fundamental understanding in:
    • Software, hardware and Data Center architectures
    • DR/replication/backup of server/system and virtualization technology


  • Recognised Degree; preferably with specialization in Computer Science/Information Technology/ Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
  • Professional certification : ITIL/MCSE/MCTP or relevant industry certigication strongly preferred.
