Job Description
POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY
- Assisting the Manager all aspects of Projects requirement; Contractual requirement; Company’s Requirements and other related matter to enhance the quality of the Unit; Department and MAHB
ENSSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
- All pre and post contract works of project implementation relating to contract administration.
- Checking and advise for Need Statements & Tender Documents prepared by the Engineers / Consultants
- Review; check & comment and/or prepare all preliminary estimates and Pre-Tender Estimates prepared by Consultants.
- Tender evaluation preparation and /or review; check & comment the Tender Evaluation Reports.
- Review; check and advises and/or prepare the Contract Documents; Consultants’ Memorandum of Agreement and other contractual agreement.
- Review and check Contractors’ claims and prepare certificates of Progress Payment/Professional Fees/Supervision Fees for the Contractors as well as for Consultants.
- Check and prepare all Statement of Final Account & Contractual Certificates as required in the Contract.
- Checking on the variation of works with Contractors where disagreement highlighted by contractors-consultants.
- Assist Manager of PMO in reviewing; monitoring; updating and reporting financial progress for the projects against the budgets allocated on monthly basis.
- Prepare capital expenditure for the budget owner reporting & operational expenditure budget reporting for Project Management Office for budget forecasting annually.
- Alert the sufficiency/insufficiency of the budget to the Manager.
- Identify budget owner for any requirement in requesting additional budget or transferring budget to other projects due to shortage in budget allocation.
- Preparation on the releasing of payments to Contractors/Consultants for projects as per the Contractual requirements.
- Evaluate on the option to be considered from the contractor’s proposal based on technical & commercial value.
- Assist Manager in meetings with authorities in getting tax exemption approval for imported equipments/machine etcs. as well as other related functions.
- Assist Manager in carry out action upon the SPC/MPC/BPC and EXCO decision and updating the SPC/MPC/BPC of the status of the actions taken.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks or duties as directed by Manager / Superior(s) or Management from time to time (in writing or any official communication).
Key Challenges
- Working knowledge of project costing and contract administration and management
- Administer technical requirements for preparing tender documents, bill of quantities, drawings and contract documentation for both design & build and conventional contract supply and maintenance contract.
- Coordinate and monitor comprehensive consultancy services rendered to the Client.
- Contractual administering for projects from conceptual, inception, implementation stage up to closing stage.

- Degree preferably in Quantity Surveying (with CGPA > 2.8)
Relevant Industries
External
- Degree with CGPA > 3.0 minimum 3 years experience in relevant industries
