POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Assist in the design development , manage , coordinate and planning the project execution for works related to IT Infrastructure according to schedule, specifications and budget.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Assist IT System & Infra Manager in managing, planning & coordinating the day-to-day construction management of the BHS IT Infra project including coordination, integration and test strategy related to IT Infra aspect. 
• Monitor and report to Manager the progress of the project, risks and opportunities including evaluating and resolve any discrepancies and problem arising during construction which affect the quality of works performed in a timely manner.
• Ensure IT Infra is ready  for the full utilization of Building Information Modelling (BIM) & Project Information Modelling (PIM).
• Conduct regular inspection and assess the work performance done by contractor.
• Assist in the planning and sequencing of the construction operations according to the Project quality plan.
• Establish ,report and follow up all on non-conformance activities.
• Involve in design review, assessment and evaluating BHS IT Infra project documentation and cross check with project deliverables by contractor.
• Participate in testing,operational phasing and commissioning.
• Review , anticipate and ensure project implementation works and activities according to IT Infra design , comply with quality of standard and company policy.
• Plan and anticipate in the development plan for system migration from old to new system.
• Ensure proper handing over and knowledge transfer to end user of BHS IT Infra.
• Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the management.
• Ensures all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are well documented.
• Monitor BHS IT construction progress, do site inspection and participate in testing, operational phasing, and commissioning.
• Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks throughout the Company.
• Ensure all works are adhered to MAHB Information Security policy (MAISP)

Key Challenges

• To ensure the BHS approved design are updated and implemented accordingly.
• To work together with the OEM's project team, and BHS & ITD Operation team and other airport stakeholder.
• Full implementation of Building Information Modelling throughout the project.

Skills

• Strong understanding and conscious of safe work practive
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work independently 
• Familiar with Factories and Machinery Act 1967, Environmental Quality Act and Occupational Safety and Health 1994.

Education

Internal        

• Recognized Degree with 3 years experience in IT/Computer Science/Electronic Engineering or relevant IT field from an established university accredited by MQA.
• Recognized Diploma with 5 years experience in IT/Computer Science/Electronic Engineering or relevant IT field from an established university accredited by MQA.   

External        

• Recognized Degree level with 7 years experience  in IT/Computer Science/Electronic Engineering or relevant IT field from an established university accredited by MQA 

Relevant Industries

Internal        

• Well versed in the IT Infrastructure. Experience in Baggage Handling System (BHS) is an added advantage
• Well versed in the airport operation requirement is an added advantage"      
• Must achieve and maintain the following performance rating for two (2) consecutive years of at least:

  -Exceptional / A or Outstanding / B; and

  -Minimum Meet Expectations / C

  -The employee must not be subjected to disciplinary punishments except for disciplinary counseling, caution, reminder & warning for the past 36 consecutive months. 

   

   

External        

• Well versed in the IT Infrastructure. 
• Well versed in the airport operation requirement is an added advantage
• Relevant experience in Baggage Handling System (BHS) is an added advantage.
