Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Prepare, coordinate and manage the Engineering MA(S) and MASB projects and contracts according to engineering standards, quality and in a cost effective manner as well as operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTION

• Responsible to all works relating to pre contract administration undertaken.
• Gather, prepare and manage requirements for each projects and contracts by communicate effectively with budget owner and stakeholders.
• Assist to prepare timely and accurate tender proposal that includes scope and cost details for the project of the Engineering MA(S) and MASB systems and facilities
• Responsible for the overall management of the project management scope, including communication and collaboration with PMO, stakeholders and external partner within the project context.
• Keep abreast of new technology in order to properly plan for future project and contracts of the Engineering MA(S) & MASB system and facilities.
• Assist on the special projects in order to ensure the assigned airport system and facilities requirements are properly addressed.
• To coordinate and ensure all infrastructural works carried out and material used are strictly in accordance to specification and required standard.
• Adhere with Company’s policies; procedures; guidelines; local/international regulations and legislations; quality management system; project & contracts managements; IMS Intergrated and any other certifications.
• Plan and monitor the yearly budget (OPEX and CAPEX) relating to projects and contract renewal with Budget Owner.
• Provides stewardship to the project teams by identifying proactive measures for further potential in all aspects in the assigned projects and recommends for continuous improvement action.
• Monitor and keep track on the project and contract progress.
• To perform other works in relation with projects and contracts as directed by immediate superior.

Key Challenges

• To carry out hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRAC) and feasibility study on the proposed project to minimize the  failure chances and incident.
• High dependency on external parties performance such as consultant, contractor, supplier and vendor.
• Lack of project and contracts management skill at airports, people competency and people development
• Keep abreast with the latest technology and best practices in the industries.

Skills

• Knowledge in project management, contract management, quality management system & SAP
• Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
• Results-driven and resourceful
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Self starter and conscious decision making

Relevant Industries

Unique Requirement

• Preferably experiences in Airport Engineering & Operation system 

External

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum 3-5 years relevant working experience in an Executive Engineer role,
• Registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia 

Education

• Bachelor Degree Electrical / Electronic / Civil / Mechanical Engineering
