Job Description
POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY
To assist the General Manager, Senior Manager and Manager in the daily requirements such as providing the legal services on all aspects of law, to safeguard the Company and its group's interests and ensure that their rights are protected at all times.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

Providing legal advice whenever requested on matters relating to various aspects of laws including interpretation of statutes, laws, terms and conditions of agreements, issues relating to day-to-day operation of the Company as well as assisting the Legal Manager and Senior Manager in advising the Company in its day-to-day legal matters.

Drafting, preparing, negotiating Agreements/ Opinions; corporate, joint venture, construction, commercial and tenancy/concession contracts/agreements and scrutinize contracts, tender documents for the divisions and subsidiaries of the company.

Managing the litigation files of the Company including issuance of internal letters of demand, draft the letter of undertaking in respect of the settlement of debts, advice on litigation matters, issuance of the instruction letter to proceed with legal action to the external solicitors and prepare status report. Provide strategic legal advise on litigation matters and instruct external solicitors when necessary.

All other duties which shall be instructed by the General Manager and/or Senior Manager and/or Manager from time to time.

- To avoid multiple claims against the Company is respect of the matter of which has been assigned to Legal Services to look at.

Unique Requirement

Called to the Bar

Direct working exposure in corporate, litigation, property, project development/management, and construction industry will be an added advantage.
External

at least a minimum of 5 years of professional legal experience and familiar with land and property matters, project, construction, compliance, commercial, financial, and/or corporate matters.
