POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Expected to carry out duties typically associated with consultant and contractor Quantity Surveying and Project Management and to engage responsibly in all aspects.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• To provide clear, timely and accurate information, advice and reports to the Contract Manager and the Management
• Supporting Contract Manager of the team in managing and delivering projects.
• Ensure deadlines are actively managed, and progress is reported to the Contract Manager as required.
• Follow the company’s quality assurance process on all projects.
• Ensure standard documentation is used when presenting any information.
• Attend, contribute and minute meetings (including external and internal stakeholders where necessary)
• Carry out site visits/inspections
• Working across several different projects where applicable.
• Undertake relevant training as required by the organization.
• Demonstrate practical project management skills in all tasks.

Skills

• Ability to use a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke packages. Exceptional relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Commercial awareness and understanding of the Construction process
• Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
• Negotiation skills and ability to apply those skills internally and externally & with our supply chain.
• Positive attitude at all times and the ability to integrate and play an active part in the Project Development Team
• Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
• Keen to pursue personal development needs and maintain up-to-date knowledge

Education

External        
 

• Degree in Civil & Structure Engineering (Master Degree or Professional Engineering qualification is an added advantage).        

Relevant Industries

External        

• Degree holder with a minimum 3.0 CGPA  and with a minimum of 5 years  relevant experience with specialization in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
