POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for the operations and maintenance of the airport engineering equipment/installations/facilities for system serviceability and availability.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Supervises and ensure full execution of SAP System (Plant Maintenance Module)
• Provide guidance; advice and direction to all subordinate and to promote high standard of maintenance culture; efficiency; productivity; teamwork; quality services and personnel job enrichment
• Revise the PPM checklist; tasks list & master data and analyze technical reports; identify trends for the facilities and equipment breakdowns and recommend for continuous improvement
• Review the performance of the facilities/system and provide input and recommendations for any upgrading or refurbishment work
• Maintenance of Pavement such as repair / seal like cracks, potholes, undulations, rutting on pavement b) Repaint faded marking
• Maintenance of Infrastructure:- a) Repair/replace torn chain link or cut bared wire b) Repaint rusty pole/ seal cracks. Reinstate disorder pole c) seal crack and backfill eroded area. reconstruct broken concrete beam d) Seal crack, backfill eroded area. Replace/ repair broken MS Grill drainage outlet
• Runway Friction Testing - Grip Tester:- a) Carry out friction test with grip tester, Compare the friction results with permissible value as stated in Annex 14 Fourth Edition July 2004, Table A-1 of Attachment A, If the friction value is below the minimum friction level, rubber deposit removal is required to be carried out.
• Maintenance of Sewerage System:- a) Clear clogging, replace broken cover b) Clear for clogging, repair pipe leakage, backfill eroded area c) Clear for vegetation growth around the pond, clean surrounding area.
• Maintenance of Water Supply system:- a) Check for leakage float switch/float valve function, M.S plinth erosion & concrete slab and arrange for repair as necessary, check for leakage, level indicator b) Check for leakage and functioning of the valve and arrange for the repair as necessary c) Check for operational condition and abnormality appearance d) Check for pipe leakage, check for functionality of valves, record pressure reading based on local authority requirements
• Establishment of new contract; manage and ensure the contractors are delivering the service standard as required in the contract for outsourcing work
• Execute the master maintenance plans and master maintenance schedules as well as the implementation of the approved capital and operating budget

Skills

• Analyze technical report, identify trends for the facilities and equipment breakdowns and recommends for continuous improvement action.
• Analyze cost implications of the operations, maintenance and repair activities and recommends for budgetary.
• Keep abreast with latest technology in the industries.
• Plan and ensure high standard of maintenance work.

Relevant Industries

External

• Preferably Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering holder with 2 years working experience in related filed

Education

External

• SPM / SPM(V) with POLYTECHNIC / MLVK / SKM certificate from Polytechnic
• Diploma in Civil Engineering
